Over the course of my ministry, I have served the Church in a wide range of roles: youth minister, young adult minister, adult formation leader, OCIA/RCIA leader, baptismal and marriage preparation coordinator, children’s minister, retreat leader across all age levels, Catholic school leader, and parish business manager overseeing financial controls, human resources, and fundraising. I have worked closely with pastoral and finance councils, served in diocesan offices, and helped plan and lead conferences and formation initiatives. Alongside parish and diocesan ministry, I serve as a Professor of Practice at Santa Clara University in the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries, where I work with emerging and experienced leaders on leadership, formation, and organizational life in the Church.
My ministry has been shaped in deeply diverse communities walking with many cultural communities each with their own expressions of faith, leadership, and cultural wisdom. These experiences have reinforced a conviction that guides all of our work: ministry cannot be reduced to a formula. Leaders don’t need someone who simply repeats a popular model or applies the same strategy everywhere they go. They need a partner who listens first, understands context, and helps discern a faithful and practical way forward, together. That is the heart of Accompaniment Partners.
We accompany Catholic ministry leaders through coaching, consultation, formation, and strategic support—always rooted in the lived reality of their communities.
Our work often includes:

Personalized accompaniment to strengthen your clarity, confidence, and capacity as a Catholic ministry leader.

Formation and structure that help councils lead with unity, accountability, and mission-focused governance.

Thoughtful planning for children, youth, young adult, adult, and sacramental preparation ministries.

Practical frameworks that create clarity, sustainability, and healthy ministry operations.

Strengthening decision-making processes, roles, policies, and operational effectiveness.

Building mission-aligned strategies that sustain and grow your parish or diocesan initiatives.

We support diocesan initiatives and parish renewal efforts with thoughtful guidance and practical structure.
At every step, our goal is the same: to help leaders grow in confidence, competence, and clarity—so they are not carrying the weight of ministry alone.
Every parish, school, and Catholic organization carries its own history, culture, people, and realities. That’s why we believe the most important starting point for growth is not a model, a program, or a quick fix but accompaniment. At Accompaniment Partners, we believe ministry leaders deserve a mentor and coach who has actually been there: someone who understands the complexity of Church life from the inside, who knows the tensions between mission and management, formation and sustainability, vision and structure. Too often, leaders are offered strategies before they are understood. We take a different approach. As we often say, if you’ve been to one Catholic parish, you’ve been to one Catholic parish. No two communities are the same. What works beautifully in one setting may fall flat in another. That’s why we begin by listening learning your context, your people, your challenges, and your hopes before offering guidance on how to move forward. Our work is grounded in a simple commitment: We stay. We walk. We build capacity. We don’t parachute in with yesterday’s solution for today’s problem. Instead, we journey with leaders over time, helping them strengthen leadership, clarify structures, form teams, and align systems so that mission can flourish in sustainable and life-giving ways.
